The Kansas City Chiefs concluded their regular season with a 38-0 loss to the Denver Broncos. Head Coach Andy Reid rested many starters, some due to injuries. Despite the loss, the Chiefs had already secured the AFC’s top seed and a first-round bye, while the Broncos’ win earned them their first playoff berth since their 2015 championship season.
Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu, who returned mid-season from an ACL injury, posted a confident message on X: “Check my track record.” Omenihu has played six games this season, recording six tackles, including four solo. Despite the recent loss, he believes he’s peaking at the right time to contribute to a potential Super Bowl run.
Check my track record. Playoff time.

Injuries remain a concern for the Chiefs. Chris Jones (calf), Jawaan Taylor (knee), Isiah Pacheco (ribs), and Chamarri Conner have all been dealing with issues. However, Andy Reid shared positive updates this week, confirming all injured players, including CB Jaylen Watson, practiced and are progressing well.
The Chiefs finished 15-2, relying heavily on defense throughout the season. Despite being one of only three teams to score fewer than 30 points in every game, they remain favorites for Super Bowl LIX. With a healthy roster and Omenihu’s confidence, the team looks ready to pursue a third consecutive title.

The road to New Orleans won’t be easy, with potential matchups against stars like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. The Chiefs will need both their defense and offense to fire on all cylinders to make history.
